- Bones fight back to seal derby win -

Desborough Town 2 - 4 Rothwell Town

Rothwell secured a confidence-boosting win at local rivals Desborough Town last night, after showing emphatic fightback qualities. Desborough took the initiative in the first half and went in front in the 15th minute with a well-taken strike from Gare Clark. But Rothwell drew level before half-time when Kirk Master forced the ball home in the box.

In the second half, the Bones gradually got on top but Desborough took the lead again through Richard Moore, who finished off a smart move. However, in the last 15 minutes the Bones piled on the pressure to come from behind and turn the NFA Hillier Senior Cup tie around.

As Rothwell took control, Liam Morris capitalized and scored two magnificent goals. And the Bones' fine fightback was completed with a Steve Towers penalty with just three minutes remaining. Rothwell now face Corby Town in the semi-final at Cecil Street while Raunds will tackle Northampton Spencer.
