Rothwell Town 2 - 0 Sutton Coldfield

Another good home win for The Bones again today who now sit in eighth position, just two points away from the playoff places.

Rothwell took the lead in the first minute of the match when Michael Boyle-Chong hit a shot from all of 35 yards which the Sutton goalkeeper failed to handle and the ball dropped over him into the back of the net.

Rothwell continued to have the bulk of the game in a fairly comfortable half. On 21 minutes, the lead was doubled when Mick Tolton hit a cross in, it was cleared by the defence and planted back in by Boyle-Chong for Darren Lynch to head home the 2nd goal of the afternoon.

In the second half Rothwell pretty much dominated proceedings, but never really had the breaks away to add to the scoreline.
