Rothwell Town 4 - 0 Malvern Town

Alan Biley wants his players to enjoy the last three games of the season and take each match as it comes following this impressive win over Malvern Town. The Rothwell Town boss said: "I think we've really got to enjoy this last week now. The play-offs are still in sight but we need to take it one game at a time. It's in our hands and we're very happy to be here."

"The performance was very good today and we were totally in command - 4-0 didn't flatter us at all. It was a performance that we were due and I knew we were capable of. We also achieved it without having to get into first gear, which is pleasing, and we were able to rest a few players ahead of our busy final week."

The win means that the Bones have now completed a double over Malvern, and they lie just a point adrift of the elusive play-off positions. Danny Nicholls almost opened the scoring for the hosts but he found visiting keeper Dean Smith in fine form to deny him. However, Rothwell did take the lead on 25 minutes when Ricky Miller was brought down in the area. Darren Lynch stepped up to convert the resulting spot-kick.

The lively Miller broke through Malvern's defence again on the hour and, after rounding Dean Smith, he slotted the ball home into an empty net. And just three minutes later the Bones were 3-0 up when Jon Darby headed home a corner kick from the right.

Despite their hefty advantage, Rothwell continued to push forward, and scored again with 10 minutes to go. A free-kick was put deep into the six-yard box by subsitute Robert Ritchie-Smith and it was finally headed home by Michael Boyle-Chong.
