Rothwell Town 2 - 4 Bishops Cleeve

The Bones were within minutes of securing a valuable point at home to Bishops Cleeve on Saturday, but two late goals saw the away team snatching the victory and the full three points.

Rothwell had taken the lead on 19 minutes through Michael Boyle-Chong's fifth goal of the season, but Bishop Cleeve's top scorer Kevin Slack equalised for the travelling team nine minutes later (28 mins). It wasn't long before the Bones were back in front as recent signing Ollie Wilkinson netted his first goal for the club just a minute later (29 mins), which gave Rothwell the lead going into the half-time break.

The lead was held until the 64 minute, when Slack netted his second of the afternoon to put the scores on level terms. Then, with the final whistle looming, Mike Rhodes scored to put Bishops Cleeve 3-2 up in the 89th minute. The result was secured for the away team on 90 minutes as Slack completed his hat-trick and left the Bones looking to Monday night's trip to 17th placed Woodford United to notch up some much needed points.
