Rothwell Town 1- 3 Brackley Town

Northants Senior Cup semi-final

Tuesday 26th February - k/o 7.45pm

Rothwell Town bowed out of this season's NFA Hillier Senior Cup after a spirited display against fellow Southern League side Brackley Town in last night's semi-final at Cecil Street.

The Bones, of Division One Midlands, had the better of the first half with chances falling to Michael Boyle-Chong and Michael Tolton while new signing Adam Cunnington had an effort disallowed for offside.

Premier Division Brackley then struck with two goals early in the second half.

Tom Winters bent home a 55th minute free-kick and ex-Rothwell striker Danny Spencer slotted the second soon after. Winters got his second and the visitors' third before Rothwell struck back with the best goal of the fame, Fazel Koriya flashing home a half-volley from Adam Bridgeford's cross.

Thanks to the Evening Telegraph.

Tonight (Wed 27th) the club are holding a quiz night at the clubhouse, 7.30pm for 8pm start with teams of four required.
