Rothwell Town v Berkhamsted Town

British Gas Business League Division One Midlands

Saturday 15th March - k/o 3pm

Something has to give at Cecil Street tomorrow when Rothwell Town meet Berkhamsted in Division One Midlands.
Both sides are in the bottom three and desperate to end long winless runs.

The Bones still haven't won since New Year's Day – a sequence of eight games – and have been unsuccessful at home since the opening day of the season.

The Lillywhites' winless run is exactly one month longer than Rothwell's with their last – and only – win this season coming 16 games ago on December 1.

Anchored to the bottom all season, Berkhamsted remain five points adrift of the rest and 10 behind the goal-shy Bones, who have the chance to complete a rare league double for the season having won 2-1 at Broadwater back in September.

But, while accepting the nature of the game, Bones boss Ian Jackson is keeping calm.

"Everyone is hyping up this game. But it will make no difference to either of us whatever the result so it's not a six-pointer. It's a usual three-pointer," he said.

"That said, we have a fullly-fit squad from which to select and there will be no excuses if we don't win.

"But if we keep playing like we have of late then that shouldn't be an issue.

"We've had a very disappointing season and underachieved. But so have Berkhamstead. And, unlike us, they're leaking goals for fun – although they only lost 1-0 last week.

"They're not pulling up any trees and neither are we. But I don't feel there's any extra pressure on this game. It might be a big deal for them but it's not for us."
