RTFC 6-a-side Tournament 2008

The 'Has Beens' won the RTFC 6-a-Side Cup after a penalty shoot out victory over Guapa. The teams were inseparable and were tied at 1-1 at the final whistle. Extra time failed to separate them and so the game went to a best of 3 penalty shoot out.

Eddie Mills, Tom Mills and Gary Clarke all converted their spot kicks for the Has Beens and Rob Mallard and Sam Andic scored for Guapa leaving Hassan Moomin with the deciding penalty. Agonisingly for his team he dragged the ball wide of the left hand upright.

The RTFC 6-a-Side Plate was won by 1 Hit Wonders with a 1-0 extra time victory over FC Bozeat.

The fair play award, voted for by the referees and tournament organisers went to 'Sunday Club +3' who played throughout the day in the right spirit.

Finally the committee would like to thank all of the players for making the day enjoyable and all of the volunteers and referees who helped make the day run smoothly.
