- Late equaliser means Trophy re-match -

Croydon Athletic 2 Rothwell Town 2

A headed leveller from Luke Garrard - the Croydon goalkeeper - deep into stoppage time, earned the Ryman Division One side a replay after Liam Morris looked to have capped a Rothwell fightback with the winner.

The Bones hit the woodword three times in the first half - Luke Dawkins striking the bar with a 25-yard piledriver, and enjoyed the majority of posession. While Martin Flanningan and Stuart Spencer were doing a great job of keeping ex-Chelsea player Joe Sheerin at bay, Garrard had pulled off tremendous saves from Liam Morris, Mickey Tolton and man-of-the-match Steve Towers. As the teams came out for the 2nd half, Rothwell started brightly, but it was Croydon who went ahead when Eben Allen scored from the narrowest of angles on 51 mins.

As Bones continued to push, they were rewarded with the equaliser through Spencer powering the ball home from close range. In the last minute of the 90, Morris cracked a 25-yarder into the net and it looked to be game over, but as Bones were battling for the final whistle, the unlikely figure of goalkeeper Garrard emerged with a header from a corner to take the tie to a replay at Cecil Street on Tuesday (15 Nov). k/o 7.45pm
