Rothwell Town 2 - 1 Spalding Town

Rothwell extended their undefeated start to the season to four games and sit in 4th position in the table, having completed August without loss.

The first half saw the Bones have chance after chance, but somehow the ball just wouldn't find the back of the net. Despite the efforts of the players, it was Spalding that went into the break a goal to the good. On the half hour mark, Paul Rice failed to deal with a long ball over the top and Spalding capitalised with Garrick netting to put the away team 1-0 up going into the break.

The Bones came out strongly for the second half and it wasn't long before Justin Jenkins netted in his fourth consecutive game of the season to level things up. Rothwell kept up the pressure and, despite Spalding being dangerous on the counter-attack at times, the defence held firm to protect the scoreline. Rothwell were rewarded for their determination in the 70th minute when the hard-working Chris Difante netted his first goal of the season to secure a deserved victory.

The Bones now face a trip to Stourbridge on Sat 9th Sept, where they will hope to further extend this good start to the season.
