Evesham United 2 - 0 Rothwell Town

Caretaker manager Alan Biley suffered his first defeat at the helm of Rothwell Town today as a goal in each half from the home side sealed a 2-0 defeat for the Bones.

The first half saw some exceedingly contentious decisions from the referee and most pointedly, a penalty awarded to the home side. It was very difficult to say what the penalty was given for but awarded it was and it was tucked away by Evesham to give them a 1--0 lead. Rothwell had a lot of half chances throughout the first half and should at least have been level, but went into the break a goal down.

The second half was completely dominated by Rothwell, however it was punctuated midway through when Justin Jenkins' hit a backpass with the outside of his right boot, attempting to reach Tom Smith in the Rothwell goal. The ball fell halfway however and the Evesham player seized upon it and ran on to slot past the keeper and make the score 2-0.

All in all a good performance, with Rothwell having 90% of the play but the team lacked any type of finish.
