Rothwell Town presented Bedworth with this victory in the first six minutes of the game and the first minute of the second half.

Outside of this time, Rothwell were on top and had the majority of possession.

But after only three minutes Bedworth received their first gift from their hosts when Kieran Fitzharris was left unmarked at the far post to gather a high cross.

He fired past Stuart Dorrill in the home goal, giving the keeper no chance.

Three minutes later, the visitors went two goals in front when they were awarded a free-kick on the edge of the area.

Paul Lamb's badly taken free-kick took a wicked deflection, again leaving Dorrill flat-footed with no chance of recovery.

For the rest of the half Rothwell had all the chances and the first fell to new boy Ali Wiltshire but he headed wide of the mark.

Shaun Goodall and Michael Boyle-Chong also had chances and just before the break, Danny Marlow had a shot well saved by Andrew Kemp.

From the restart, Lamb waltzed past the home defence on the right and his cross was headed home by Patrick Connelly at the far post.

Again, the Bones took control of the game and on 51 minutes they managed to pull a goal back, Boyle-Chong heading home a corner from the right.

Rothwell could have got closer to their visitors minutes later but Wiltshire shot over the top.

Further chances fell to the hosts and the Bedworth goal was under siege for the last ten minutes.

But Rothwell were unable to reduce the deficit.

They must now look forward to two away games - the first tomorrow night at Stourport Swifts and then at league leaders Leamington on Saturday.
